Something Dances Through Me
35mm slide projection / sound: 05:04
Collaboration between myself, my mother Cherrie, and Willow the dog. In this live 35mm slide projection and sound work we explore how our embodiment is shared across more-than-human relationships. Building upon philosopher/choreographer Susan Kozel's concept that we dance because something dances through us, we explore how our experience and understanding of the world folds into, and is informed by, the non-human presences that surround us, working through the lens of Cherrie and Willow's multi-species bond and entanglement.
This work was supported by the Humanimal Kind Research Network at Edinburgh University.
